In 2005 JumpStart launched and co-sponsored ChildWatch, a series of bus tours and presentations to increase awareness of key issues and initiatives related to early childhood development in Tulsa.

The second ChildWatch tour:

 Tulsa Child Watch/”A Child's Health” Tour & Luncheon

December 9, 2005, 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

Focus:  the mental and physical health of young children (ages zero to five) in Tulsa County. 

School based clinics and their role in improved academic outcomes

The role of wrap-around services for children

The role of the Tulsa Health Department’s promotion program

The impact of premature birth on children’s development

The importance of Early Childhood Intervention and Developmental Testing

Sponsored by the March of Dimes, Child Care Resource Center, and JumpStart, in cooperation with CAPTC, Union Schools, and Tulsa Health Department.
