"Oklahoma doesn't have a future if we don't
educate our children, and that means starting very young."
Rob Dugger is a managing partner and a director at Tudor Investment Corporation,
a global asset management company with $18 billion of investor funds. He is an
expert on government policy assessment and the effects of policy on domestic and
global markets and financial institutions. Dugger was policy director at the
American Bankers Association. He helped develop the solution to the U.S. savings
and loan problem. He started with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in the
early 1970s and served as a senior staff member of both the House Financial
Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee in the 1980s. Dugger is also
involved in several projects focused on ascertaining and communicating the
economic growth and job creation value of investing early in the lives of
children. He has a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and a PhD in
economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

James J. Heckman shared the 2000 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences. He is the
Henry Schultz Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of
Chicago, serving since 1973. He directs the Economics Research Center and the
Center for Social Program Evaluation at the Harris School for Public Policy. He
is the professor of science and society in University College Dublin and a
senior research fellow at the American Bar Foundation. Heckman received his
bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Colorado College in 1965 and his PhD in
economics at Princeton University in 1971. His work is devoted to the
development of a scientific basis for economic policy evaluation. Heckman has
published more than 250 articles and several books. He is finishing a book on
the problem of noncognitive skills in America. He has received numerous awards.
