Parents As Teachers (PAT) ... a JumpStart Tulsa Partner!

Parents as Teachers (PAT) at Tulsa Public Schools is a voluntary early childhood parent education and family support program designed to help all parents give their children the best possible start in life.  Families who are expecting a child or have a child between the ages of 0 - 3 are eligible.  (No fee.)

Jenks Parent Care Center ... Strengthening Families In Our Community

The Parent Care Center is a parent resource center funded by Jenks Community Education and Jenks Public Schools for Jenks and South Tulsa residents.  The Center is a member program of Practical Parent Education (PPE) based in Plano, TX which provides resources, support and training.  Mission:  To provide all parents with the support, resources and parenting skills necessary to raise children who will become socially responsible, self-confident, emotionally healthy individuals able to achieve their greatest potential in school, society and their personal lives.  The Center offers over 500 parenting books/videos available for checkout, parenting classes, parenting tip sheets, handouts, district and community information -- plus resource and referral services, parent support groups and personal consultations.
Location:  on the Jenks East Elementary Campus at 91st and Harvard in Bldg E Room 426. Enter from Harvard, look for Building E and the Parent Care Center sign.  Hours are Mon/Tues/Wed 8 AM to 12:15 PM, Tuesdays 4:15 to 7:15 PM.  For more information or to register, please contact Lauren Gould, Coordinator, 299-4415 X5078, email: lauren.gould@jenksps.org

Looking back ... Tulsa celebrated 2005 "Week of the Young Child" with the annual Family Fun Fair, April 29!

Hundreds of Tulsa-area families gathered at the Tulsa Event Center (2625 S.
